Hi! Welcome to my website. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University. My research examines the intersections of language, education, and society, with specific attention drawn to English-medium instruction (EMI), language policy, bi/multilingual education, TESOL teacher development, and AI-informed writing pedagogies. 

Since my PhD in Cambridge, a significant strand of my work has focused on EMI in university contexts, examining how educators navigate language, disciplinary knowledge, and inclusion in linguistically diverse classrooms. More recently, my research has expanded to broader areas of multilingualism and language policymaking in Taiwan. My research on Taiwan’s Bilingual 2030 policy considers the tensions and possibilities between bilingualism and multilingualism, while highlighting the roles of educators and the public in shaping language policy from the ground up. I am also increasingly interested in the implications of generative AI for language learning and writing, particularly questions of human agency, authorship, and critical AI literacy. Across these topics, my work is united by a commitment to developing more context-sensitive, inclusive, and socially responsive approaches to language education.
